Let me start off by saying this – I am no organization pro and I’m super scatter-brained more often than not. I guess you can call that just being a mom. This is where this Household Organizational Binder comes in handy. It keeps everything you need to run a smooth household in one spot.
Whether you’re a stay at home mom or working mom, staying organized to some extent is so important for the sake of your sanity. Don’t try to wing it. Don’t try to take mental notes for those doctor’s appointments and grocery lists. Take it from someone who has tried and then mom brain happened and whatever I needed to get done didn’t happen.
All you need is a binder, page dividers and these FREE printables you can grab at the end of the post! CAUSE WHO DOESN’T LOVE FREE STUFF?! I’m no designer pro either but if I was creating them already, why not share them? *I realize I left NO room for hole punches so use clear sleeves to hold and protect your sheets!
I had the binder and dividers laying around the house from college because I’m a shameless school and office supply hoarder, so all I had to do was create and print these printables from home.
I have my binder sectioned off into Bills + Finances, Budgeting, Meal Planning, Grocery Lists, Cleaning Checklists, To Do Lists, Contacts and Passwords. You could create and add pages according to your family’s needs, such as one for school functions if your child is older or recipes if you don’t have a card system already in place. I used Canva to create these.
If you like to coupon, you can 1) teach me your ways because I just cannot do it, then 2) buy some baseball card sleeves and add those in your binder! You could also use pocket dividers to keep things such as bills, pay stubs and receipts handy. This can be totally customized to meet your needs and take a little of the stress out of your life!
I used to write my to-do lists and jot notes down in my planner (then forget to look at it………), print blank calendars to hang on the fridge for bills due, keep passwords and contacts in a separate book, the list goes on. And the amount of papers and books that I had to keep up with was too much. Will I still lose this full sized binder somehow? Probably. Don’t ask me how. But now I only have to remember where I put one single item, not 10 different things. Amen amen.
What else do you use in your binder? How do you keep an organized house?
